The movement material, heavily influenced by the musical score (rewritten by Wim Hendrickx) celebrates moments of both virtuosity and simplicity. Together with the shifting atmosphere of the light, intensity of the performers and stately decor Requiem is an all round performance.

Requiem is most appealing to audiences consisting of adults/seniors and is sure to create spine tingling moments, as the viewer witnesses the coming together of these two disciplines within this beautiful ensemble production.

This creative process also served as an experiment of how to create a production with as little hierarchy as possible. The dancers collaborated with one another on an equal level to develop the material, and this sense of community and support is visible throughout Requiem
